Led by editors-in-chief Graeme Russell and Drew Jensen and supported by their Faculty Advisor and Humanities 2 teacher Ms. Denise Crlenjak, The Crest: A South Kent Literary & Arts Journal started as an honors project for class but turned into something more.

During a year filled with many changes, a group of talented students from the class of 2024 looked at the obstacles they faced and chose to reflect, connect and create a collection of imaginative work that illustrates what hard work and perseverance look like in the face of a challenge. 

After ten weeks of gathering creative works, editing them, and compiling them into a publishable journal, the students had a finished project to feel proud of: the inaugural issue of The Crest.
