Near Space Balloon Mission

February 26th, 2016

The Center for Innovation at South Kent School continues to be a leader in modern education. One of its more unique classes this year focused on setting up a weather balloon and letting it fly. The flight occurred on Friday, November 20th in the cool, early morning air that was calm enough to allow for a safe journey. The balloon traveled over 180 miles in just 3 hours before it was recovered in New Hampshire. Throughout the flight it collected data which the boys will continue to analyze and learn from. Below are several exciting links about the flight.
