We are happy to report that South Kent School's very own Rt. Rev. Samuel Rodman, class of 1977, has been ordained as consecrated bishop of the Diocese of North Carolina.

On Saturday, June 24th, Keith Petruzzelli '17, Brandon Crawley '15, and Skyler Brind'Amour '18 joined the ever growing list of South Kent School alumni who have been drafted to the NHL.

Congratulations to the Underform Award Winners and the entire underform class of 2016-2017. You all had a wonderful academic year worthy of appreciation. We wish you all an enjoyable, safe summer and look forward to seeing you back on the Hillside in the fall!

The Prize Day ceremony began on Saturday, June 3rd, 2017. On that momentous day, South Kent School graduated their senior and PG students for the 93rd time in the school’s rich history. Head of School Andrew Vadnais recognized each graduate from the Class of 2017 by reading a personal narrative of each graduate's Hero's Journey and then giving them each a handshake and hug. The closeness of everyone on campus was palpable in these moments.

Head of School Andrew Vadnais received the results from an electronic vote, and with consideration of the student and faculty ballot, made the final decision, which was announced to the School in a Prefect Tapping Ceremony on Tuesday, May 23.

Author and former SKS faculty member Matthew Winkler will be on campus, Tuesday, May 16th, 7:30-8:30pm in the Assembly Hall, to talk to students, faculty and guests about his book Mentoring Teenage Heroes.

The selection process for naming the 2017-2018 South Kent School prefects began on Wednesday May 3, 2017. The candidates declared their intentions to the community by stepping up to the prefect table and knocking twice, symbolizing their commitment.

On Wednesday, May 10th South Kent School will host the second annual Western New England Prep Golf Invitational (WNEPGI) at Bull's Bridge Golf Club.  Fourteen teams will take the tee at beautiful Bull's Bridge Golf Club for 18 holes of tournament play.  Paul Ramee Jr., Director of Golf/Club Manager, and the club have been a driving force in establishing this amazing event.
