On Tuesday, January 10, 2017 the USHL/NHL Top Prospects game was held at the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.  Featured in this game were 4 former players from the Selects Academy at South Kent School. 

It is with a heavy heart that I report the passing of Dr. Charles P. “Doc” Whittemore ’39 at Noble Horizons in Salisbury, CT on January 15th.  A part of the very spirit of South Kent School, Doc graduated in 1939 and returned to the School as a member of the faculty in 1943.

We are greatly saddened to announce the passing on January 10th of Nancy Thomson Waller, a center-pin of the SKS community from 1947 to 1983.

Today four members of the 1946 football team came back to the Hillside to commemorate the 70 year anniversary of their victory over the Gunnery on November 9, 1946.  Noble "Nobby" Richards '49, Richard "Dick" Aiken '48, William "Bill" Edwards '47, and Ralph Woodward ’47 spoke to the whole student body about their victory over the Gunnery’s football team and to talk about the importance of teachers/coaches, friends, and the school in their lives.

The School is saddened to announce the passing of the Rev. William Low on Monday, September 19, 2016, at his home in Canton, CT.

In a recent article discussing New Englanders selected in the most recent NHL draft, ESPN noted that Andrew Peeke, Chase Priskie '14, and Jake Ryczek, three of the seven selected, came from South Kent School.

Saturday, May 28, 2016 marked an important anniversary for South Kent School. That day, fifty years ago, the South Kent School Crew won their first and only National Title after posting a 32-5 record throughout their standout season.

Congratulations to the Underform Award Winners and the entire underform class of 2015-2016. You all had a wonderful academic year worthy of appreciation. We wish you all an enjoyable, safe summer and look forward to seeing you back on the Hillside in the fall!

The Prize Day ceremony began on Saturday, June 3rd, 2016. On that momentous day, South Kent School graduated their senior and PG students for the 92nd time in the school’s rich history. Head of School Andrew Vadnais recognized each graduate from the Class of 2016 by reading a personal narrative of each graduate's Hero's Journey and then giving them each a handshake and hug.
