In Memoriam

J. Roy Burton, 78, died on March 10, 2021. He attended South Kent School and was a graduate of Roosevelt University. Professionally, he worked as director of purchasing at Loyola University Medical Center for 22 years, followed by a 30-year career as the owner of Village Laundromat. An active member of the community, he touched the lives of many. He will be remembered as a kind man with a wry sense of humor and dry wit. He loved reading, movies, theater, travel, fishing, and family.

Roy Burton is survived by his wife, Ann Burton; his children, Liz, Rachel, Joe, Ben, and Kathleen Burton; his siblings, Rod Burton, Terry Koepke (Paul), and Bill Burton (Laurel); and many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and -nephews.
