Student-Athletes of the Month - September

South Kent School's Student-Athletes of the Month Awards recognize stellar performance in the classroom and in competition. This award is earned by young men who display leadership, hard work, and a positive attitude, while living into the School's Mission.
The votes are in for September...
Mountain Biking - Graeme Russell – Graeme registered the highest ever finish for a South Kent rider in the Housatonic Mountain Biking League. He provides great leadership in the dorm helping get the boys to their commitments. He is a top student in his STEM course.
Cross Country - Eason Zhang – Eason was our top finisher at the Oakwood Friends Invitational. He consistently volunteers to help out around school. According to his teachers, he has an unmatched drive to do well in the classroom and is always working with a positive, can-do attitude.
15O Hockey - Tory Pitner – Tory is the team Captain. He scored 12 pts through the first 13 games. He quickly tested out of algebra I, and is now flourishing in algebra II. He was selected as a campus tour guide program for prospective students.
16U Hockey - Dylan Margel – Dylan is a second-year player who has straight A's in Stem and Spanish 4. He led all defenseman in goals (4) in the early season. He was selected to be campus tour guide and leads by example in all areas.
18U Hockey - Mitchell Spranklin – Mitchell is a second-year player who is always the life of the room. He has been outstanding in the classroom with an A in his Syracuse University economics class. The recently elected prefect has been scoring goals and adding up the points.
Soccer – Ethan Prescott – Ethan has been an excellent student with an A based on his exemplary work in finance. The captain of the team has provided a consistently, excellent example in all aspects of school life and has recently been elected as a prefect. On the field he has lead by example, playing multiple positions and providing the game winning goal versus Cheshire Academy.
