After an almost 18-month hiatus due to Covid-19, South Kent School will again host two days of clinics on July 31st and August 1st, which will see more premier competition and recruiting opportunities for top prospective college players.

South Kent, CT, June 7, 2021 – Three South Kent School (SKS) alumni, Vinicius (Vini) Fernandes ’18, Alexander Adjetey ’19 and Alejandro Giner Murillo ’20, are members of the history-making Marshall University men’s soccer team, who clinched their first ever National Championship victory in May.

In his first year back on the Hillside Coach Raphael “Coach Chills” Chillious revitalized South Kent School’s basketball program and has led the team to a dominant winning season!

To cap off what has been a very successful, if somewhat unconventional, season for the South Kent School (SKS) soccer program, two recent graduates, Jai Bean ’21 and Mohammed Seidu ’21, will be playing in the High School Soccer All-American Game on May 29, 2021, in St. Louis, Missouri. The game will be live streamed on Top Drawer Soccer at 1pm CST.

Three SKS Alumni just made the NCAA Soccer College Cup with the Marshall University Herd! Vinicius Fernandes ’18, Alexander Adjetey ’19, and Alejandro Giner Murillo ’20, advanced to the Division 1 Final Four with the Marshall University Men’s Soccer team after they defeated defending champs Georgetown University in the Elite 8 and #1 ranked Clemson University in the previous round.

South Kent School (SKS) is extremely excited to share that post graduate Jordan Gainey has made his college commitment to the University of South Carolina Upstate Spartans.

Every year for Earth Day, our students head out to help clean up the local environment in conjunction with the Kent Conservation Commission. Led by School Chaplain Father Klots, the boys gathered outside the “Old Building” to coordinate before splitting up into groups to cover local roads from Kent, to the South Kent campus, to Gaylordsville. Students and faculty put in quite the effort to clean and improve and save our earth.
